## Resource

A bold, inventive animated film, Cherry and Virgin, follows two thirty-something virgins—one an erotic manga artist, the other an illustrator—whose online dating app desperation leads to an unexpected connection. Premiering at Fantasia, this feature debut by director Masanao Kawajiri, who previously won acclaim for his award-winning short A Japanese Boy Who Draws, blends dual-perspective animation with raw, honest storytelling. Inspired by real-life friends and a personal tragedy, the film’s emotional depth and visual innovation captivated audiences, leaving them buzzing through a powerful Q&A. With a 2027 Japanese theatrical release planned, this is animation that dares to be different—and deeply human. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
