## Resource

Montreal Canadiens rookies got their camp off with a gritty 3-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, but don’t let the score fool you—there were flashes of brilliance. Luke Mittelstadt, wearing the “C,” stood out as the top defenseman, notching an assist on Montreal’s lone goal alongside Dillan Bentley and Tyler Thorpe. Bentley was a force with speed and net-front presence, while Mavrick Rousseau-Hamel brought relentless energy and physicality. Parker Trottier showed smart positioning, and Thorpe finished strong with big hits. Rookie games are messy—players from different leagues adjusting fast—but this group showed promise.
