## Resource

Chris Kreider, the veteran scorer with a thousand games under his belt, is hitting free agency after being released by Anaheim — and Montreal’s got their eyes on him. At 35, he’s not chasing 50 goals again, but delivering reliable 20-goal seasons and playoff experience. With a connection to coach Martin St. Louis and a clear East Coast preference, Kreider’s prime landing spot is Montreal. The Canadiens can offer him a four-million-dollar one-year deal — a smart, low-risk move that slots him into their top six alongside young stars like Ivan Demidov, boosting offense without long-term commitment.
