## Resource

Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck is rumored to be requesting a trade, sparking speculation that the team’s entering rebuild mode — and Montreal Canadiens are eyeing a major opportunity: swooping in for star forward Mark Scheifele. With Hellebuyck’s massive contract and recent Olympic gold, his departure could signal a Jets teardown, making Scheifele — who just shattered his point record with 103 — an irresistible target. As other Cup contenders like Tampa Bay and Carolina watch, the Canadiens see a chance to strike while the iron’s hot, before Winnipeg’s core disintegrates.
