## Resource

A deadly shooting erupted in Barre Town at 3:30 AM, leaving a 55-year-old man critically wounded and sparking a high-stakes manhunt for 41-year-old Joshua Brackett, who allegedly fled the scene after opening fire during a domestic dispute involving a third party. Within hours, SWAT and drones helped track Brackett down at a Waitsfield home, where he surrendered peacefully. He now faces multiple serious charges including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault. The victim, hospitalized and stabilized at UVM Medical Center, remains in critical condition.
