## Resource

A man already on probation for animal abuse is now facing felony charges for allegedly trying to lure a child after an undercover officer posed as a 13-year-old girl on Facebook. Dupont, claiming to be 39 and living near Waterbury, sent explicit messages, called the teen “sweetheart,” and even shared a sexual photo of himself. He was arrested after meeting the officer on his motorcycle, admitting to sending lewd texts and bringing condoms — while also confessing to past abuse of a 12-year-old. His prior conviction involved neglecting five puppies in filthy conditions, with visible signs of abuse. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.
