## Resource

The Washington Central School Board is back on track in its search for an interim superintendent after a misleading news report sparked confusion—turns out, the top two candidates didn’t drop out; they’re still in the running. With the permanent superintendent search paused due to last month’s withdrawals of finalists Layne Millington and Heather Bouchey, the board now focuses on filling the interim role through June. Two strong contenders, JoAn Canning and John Alberghini, are under consideration, alongside new interest from other applicants. The steering committee is reviewing resumes today, aiming for a quick decision. In the meantime, acting superintendents Jen Miller-Arsenault and Alicia Lyford have their temporary roles extended until September 15th as the board races to find a permanent interim leader before then.
