She joined EDF in 2012 and leads a team of scientists, attorneys and policy experts to protect health by reducing exposure to toxic chemicals and air pollution. Sarah has written and spoken to diverse audiences and journalists about chemical policy, air pollution and environmental health. She received a Ph.D. from Columbia University. She also holds a Master of Public Health and Master of Environmental Management from Yale University, and BA from the University of Virginia. https://www.edf.org Phillip Williams is a Yurok Tribal Council member and proud Army veteran who has been working hard to ensure tribal lands are cleaned up from legacy pollutants like PFAS. Woth over 100,000 acres of ancestral lands to monitor, he is concerned if TSCA is weakened or not funded, more pollutants could invade. The tribe successfully brought back the CA Condor, got dams removed and restored the salmon spawning grounds, and are protecting their Redwood forests. Everyday Phillip is working to restore the land and protect the wildlife and his people against toxic chemicals.
