## Resource

Nineteen-year-old Bundesliga star Noahkai Banks, born in Hawaii to an American dad and German mom, is caught in a high-stakes international dilemma—he can play for either the U.S. or Germany, but hasn’t committed yet. With FIFA rules limiting his eligibility window, he’s racing against time to make his choice before the next international break. Though he’s been called up by the U.S., skipped camp, and declined pressure to rush a decision, his Instagram bio hints at leaning toward the Stars and Stripes. Germany isn’t backing down, with their coach even attending one of his games. Meanwhile, U.S. coach Pochettino says Banks won’t be considered for upcoming matches—but keeps the door open, stressing the importance of staying connected with dual-nationals who haven’t yet made their move.
