## Resource

Alexis Mac Allister, Liverpool’s World Cup hero and key midfield force, is facing an uncertain future as the club reportedly won’t offer him a new contract — despite his crucial role in their Premier League triumph last season. While teammates Szoboszlai and Gravenberch locked in lucrative extensions, Mac Allister’s deal expires in under two years, leaving him sidelined financially and emotionally. His agent confirmed Liverpool isn’t in position to renew, though exact figures remain murky — with Mac Allister earning roughly half of Gravenberch’s post-extension pay. At 27, he’s nearing peak age for long-term deals, making free agency potentially more lucrative. Yet, Mac Allister remains loyal, insisting he’s at the right club and wants to give everything — even as he hopes Liverpool might reconsider before his contract ends in 2028.
