## Resource

Clearlake Capital has seized full control of Chelsea Football Club after buying out Todd Boehly and Mark Walter for nearly a billion dollars, ending years of shared ownership. Boehly, who stepped down as Chairman, praised Clearlake’s leadership and expressed confidence in their vision, while Clearlake co-founders honored his contributions. Though Boehly and Walter’s exit removes any need for board approvals, day-to-day operations remain unchanged — including manager Xabi Alonso’s strategy to blend veteran stars with young talent. With Clearlake now the sole decision-maker, the club’s future hinges entirely on their long-term plan, leaving behind the controversies and mixed legacy of Boehly’s tenure.
