## Resource

Thomas Saggese is seizing his moment with the Cardinals, stepping into shortstop while Masyn Winn recovers and filling in seamlessly—especially at the plate. With third baseman Blaze Jordan sidelined, Saggese may be the long-term answer at that spot too. Veteran Lance Lynn praises his consistency and potential for a .280 average with power, citing his recent two-homer performances against the Dodgers. Acquired last year, Saggese’s versatility across infield and outfield positions gives the Cardinals flexibility. As Winn returns and JJ Wetherholt anchors second base, Saggese could anchor a stable, promising infield core as the team builds for the future.
