## Resource

Shohei Ohtani’s pitching return is on hold until at least 2026, as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirms the two-way star’s arm recovery is taking longer than expected — and his knee soreness from an August bullpen session has sidelined him. While he’s feeling better and could return to the DH role as early as Monday, his hitting hasn’t matched his usual superstar form lately, possibly due to juggling rehab and plate duties. With the playoffs looming and a solid rotation already in place, the Dodgers are prioritizing Ohtani’s bat over the mound — because when it comes to postseason impact, hitting might be all they need right now.
