## Resource

The Mets call up promising rookie Jack Weisenburger from Triple-A Syracuse, making room by designating veteran pitcher Chris Devenski for assignment. With rosters expanding and playoff hopes fading, the team is shifting focus to developing young arms under team control — especially as Devenski, an impending free agent, hasn’t lived up to his past form. Clearing waivers again, Devenski’s likely headed to free agency, making this move a smart, short-term roster adjustment with long-term growth in mind.
