## Resource

Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin is pushing hard to lock up superstar defenseman Quinn Hughes long-term, as the 27-year-old enters the final year of his contract and could hit free agency in 2027. Hughes, acquired in a blockbuster trade last season, exploded with 76 points (53 post-trade) and was pivotal in the Wild’s first playoff series win in over a decade. With Hughes earning $7.85M this season and widely regarded as one of the league’s elite defensemen, Guerin is determined to avoid losing him — echoing his successful Kaprizov extension strategy from last year. Guerin’s own stellar year includes NHL GM of the Year honors and helping Team USA win gold, though he joked only players get medals. The Wild are all-in on keeping Hughes, and Guerin made it clear: they’re doing whatever it takes. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
