The Minnesota Wild just locked up head coach John Hynes with a multi-year deal, marking a major milestone after he finally led them past the first round of the playoffs — a feat they hadn’t accomplished in a decade. Since joining the team in 2023, Hynes has built a solid record of 125 wins, 78 losses, and 24 OT losses, earning high praise from GM Bill Guerin for his detailed coaching and exceptional communication skills. With training camp starting this Thursday, all eyes are on how Hynes and the Wild will build on that breakthrough heading into the new season — signaling a bright future under his leadership.
