## Resource

The Minnesota Wild just locked in coach John Hynes for years, but the real drama’s around defenseman Quinn Hughes—who’s still refusing to commit. With top defensemen like Makar already inked, fans are sensing a pattern: if Hughes truly wanted to stay, he’d have signed by now. Canucks and Devils fans are chiming in with cautionary tales, while GM Bill Guerin’s muted stance only deepens the mystery. The Wild’s season could be derailed by this uncertainty—until Hughes either seals his future or makes it crystal clear he’s headed elsewhere.
