## Resource

Quinn Hughes’ future with the Minnesota Wild hangs in the balance as he heads into the final year of his contract, with talks heating up ahead of training camp. While salary isn’t the main hurdle, the length of the deal could be the key — and Hughes may prefer a shorter-term pact. With market shifts pushing his potential AAV closer to $20M, the Wild are eager to lock him down before he hits unrestricted free agency next summer. GM says talks are positive, and all eyes are on whether they can strike a deal that keeps the star defenseman in purple before the season kicks off.
