## Resource

Minnesota Wild training camp looms, and the team’s future hinges on Quinn Hughes’ contract decision. With talks expected to ramp up once he returns Thursday, the Wild are pushing hard for an eight-year deal worth around $20M — offering him the security of long-term commitment with a trade-out clause if he wants out later. But Hughes may prefer a three-year pact, positioning him to potentially reunite with Jack in free agency next summer — maybe even in Jersey or Detroit. The Wild seem willing to meet his price tag, but getting this sorted before the season starts is non-negotiable.
