## Resource

Harrison Smith, the 37-year-old veteran safety, is officially back and ready to start Week One against the Packers—after sitting out training camp and preseason, even flirting with retirement. Signed to a lucrative one-year deal worth up to $16.25M with playoff incentives, his return is a bold move by head coach Kevin O’Connell and DC Brian Flores, who see him as irreplaceable leadership on defense. No gradual reintroduction—Smith’s hitting the field Sunday, and Minnesota’s season opener just got a lot more intriguing.
