## Resource

Veteran safety Harrison Smith, 37 and a Minnesota Vikings legend since his 2012 draft, is returning for one final season — through 2026. After contemplating retirement, he’s signed a one-year deal worth $12.25M (up to $16.25M with bonuses) to add elite leadership, experience, and playmaking to the defense. With 15 seasons, six Pro Bowls, and First-Team All-Pro honors in 2017, Smith still delivers: 54 tackles, 2 INTs, 1 sack, and 10 passes defended last year. His return is a game-changer for young Vikings defenders as they gear up for Week 1 against Green Bay — and fans get one more chance to witness “The Hitman” dominate.
