## Resource

Jon Gruden is baffled by the Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback moves, slamming their decision to let Sam Darnold—whose 2024 season included 14 wins and a playoff run—walk as free agent, while also releasing Daniel Jones. Now, they’re betting on Kyler Murray and rookie J.J. McCarthy, who’s struggled in his first two seasons despite being a first-round pick. Gruden’s not alone in questioning the strategy, especially since Darnold later won a Super Bowl elsewhere. With head coach Kevin O’Connell’s track record of developing QBs, the Vikings’ future hinges on whether Murray can rebound and McCarthy can step up—making this one of the most watched quarterback situations in the league.
