## Resource

Terrence Shannon Jr. stands at a pivotal moment with the Minnesota Timberwolves, where his scoring flashes haven’t yet translated into consistent production over two NBA seasons. Entering the league older and more seasoned, he’s averaging just over five points per game — with his best performances coming when key players were sidelined. A foot injury sidelined him for weeks, and upon return, he struggled to crack the rotation amid stiff competition from guards like Ayo Dosunmu, Bones Hyland, and rising talents such as Cody Williams. Coach Chris Finch sees potential in giving him more touches, but fitting him into a crowded backcourt with stars like LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards is tough. To secure his future with the team — including a $5.05M team option for next season — Shannon must prove he’s more than just a defensive contributor, delivering consistent minutes and impact early this season or risk another year of uncertainty.
