## Resource

Jonathan Kuminga, the 20-year-old rising star, stunned fans by signing a two-year, $12.4M deal with the Timberwolves — despite the Lakers offering nearly identical pay. Why Minnesota? He craved “that winning vibe,” even though the Wolves haven’t won a title. Former NBA legend Gilbert Arenas called the move baffling, hinting Kuminga might be getting paid to ignore reality. Now, Kuminga joins a loaded Wolves roster with LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards — while the Lakers, left scrambling, lost their top target and still need a wing defender before tip-off.
