## Resource

Jonathan Kuminga just signed a two-year, $12M deal with the Timberwolves — with a player option for Year 2 — after turning down Lakers offers and a failed sign-and-trade with Atlanta. He’s trading cash for a guaranteed starting role, aiming to dominate this season and force a max contract next summer. But Gilbert Arenas isn’t buying it, calling the deal “bullshit” and questioning how Kuminga expects to justify such a big payday given he’s joining a loaded roster. Arenas warns Kuminga may regret leaving money on the table — especially since he’s declined multiple lucrative offers before, including a $75M Warriors deal. Unless he lands a max contract in 2028 — a long shot from here — Kuminga might look back and wish he’d taken more guaranteed cash earlier.
