## Resource

Jonathan Kuminga’s NBA journey takes a major turn as he signs a two-year, $13M deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves after the Hawks declined his $24.3M option. Despite Lakers interest, Kuminga chose Minnesota for its championship culture, seeking alignment with his career goals. He consulted loved ones, spoke with Wolves players and coaches, and even turned to prayer to guide his decision — ultimately feeling the right fit. The move bolsters a loaded Wolves roster featuring LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Jaden McDaniels, positioning them as true contenders. For Kuminga, it’s a chance to elevate his game on a winning team, with a player option in 2027-28 offering future flexibility.
