## Resource

Trey Kaufman-Renn is making a bold move back to college basketball—heading to Louisville after being drafted by the Timberwolves—because he hasn’t signed an NBA deal yet, unlocking a rare window to return. With NCAA rules evolving and allowing extra eligibility, drafted players like him are now exploring college as a strategic next step to boost their game and draft stock without immediate NBA pressure. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves keep his rights, turning this into a low-risk, high-reward gamble. It’s a perfect example of how shifting regulations and player agency are reshaping the path from college hoops to the pros.
