## Resource

The Vikings’ future hangs in the balance as Kevin O’Connell faces mounting pressure to fix a struggling offense after drafting J.J. McCarthy high and watching him falter. With McCarthy’s poor performance and the team’s 26th-ranked scoring, O’Connell now must choose between him and surprise newcomer Kyler Murray at quarterback — a decision that could define the team’s 2026 direction and even his job security. Murray brings elite talent and a higher ceiling, but needs to prove he can run the offense efficiently, while McCarthy must dramatically improve his accuracy and consistency to earn the starting role. O’Connell must make a swift, confident call before Week One against the Packers — a decision that could either launch the Vikings into contention or accelerate their decline.
