## Resource

With election season in full swing, Minnesota officials are stepping up to protect voting rights amid growing concerns over federal agents showing up at polling places. Secretary of State Steve Simon clarifies that ICE and other federal law enforcement must follow the same rules as local police — they can’t loiter or observe without cause, and absolutely cannot intimidate voters. Only authorized personnel — voters, election workers, and designated challengers — are allowed inside or within 100 feet of polling sites. To avoid any potential issues, Minnesotans have flexible options: vote early in person or by mail from home. Democracy advocates are also mobilizing to ensure elections stay fair and accessible.
