## Resource

American Girl just unveiled their 2027 Girl of the Year, Daisy Davenport — the first-ever character from Wisconsin, where the brand was born. Set to spend her summer at Camp Gowonagin (a nod to classic Molly McIntire lore), Daisy’s journey is all about stepping out of her comfort zone, facing homesickness, and learning teamwork — while reflecting modern girlhood with relatable confidence and vulnerability. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, American Girl honors its roots while spotlighting a fresh Midwest voice in a legacy that already includes iconic characters like Molly, Kirsten, and even last year’s Lila Monetti from the Twin Cities.
