## Resource

A hockey game honoring first responders turned into a life-saving moment when 64-year-old retired NYPD officer Joe Gomes collapsed on the ice—just moments after making a play. Surrounded by the very heroes the event celebrated, players dropped their gear to rush to his aid. Paramedic Jess Herman, who’d known Gomes for over 15 years, led the charge with CPR and an AED, alongside five other first responders. Gomes, who nearly didn’t make it, was stabilized and released within 24 hours—and his first wish? To return to the rink to thank those who saved him. It was a powerful reminder of how quick action and community can turn tragedy into triumph. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
