## Resource

Miami Hurricanes defense is reeling after losing key cornerbacks OJ Frederique Jr. and Xavier Lucas to injuries, forcing a scramble with Damari Brown and Bryce Fitzgerald stepping in — though Fitzgerald’s switch from safety to cornerback is a gamble. Meanwhile, freshman running back Javian Mallory is lighting up the field, earning ACC Rookie of the Week honors with a 100-yard, two-touchdown game against Florida A&M — all while thriving in a competitive backfield. With depth and competition driving the roster, the Hurricanes are navigating adversity while watching young talent rise.
