## Resource

Miami Heat just pulled off a blockbuster trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but their offseason has been eerily quiet—thanks to a brutal salary cap crunch. They’ve only added Tim Hardaway Jr. and re-signed Wiggins and Fontecchio, all while stuck under the first luxury tax apron with just $10 million left to spend and only veteran minimum deals available. The root of the problem? Using a traded player exception to acquire Bobby Portis, which triggered the hard cap and forced them to lose Norman Powell, who signed a massive deal with the Bulls. Now, with Giannis and Bam Adebayo needing elite playmakers who can create their own shots, Miami’s lack of flexibility is a major headache—especially as the East heats up.
