## Resource

Two Phoenix cops, Luis Vasquez Jr. and Antonio Felix, were fired and charged with felonies after a brutal traffic stop where they allegedly beat, tasered, and threatened a couple — all while ignoring protocol like failing to identify themselves or turn on body cameras. Despite clean records filled with praise and only minor past infractions, the officers’ silence during the incident stemmed from fear of punishment. Now facing serious charges including kidnapping and aggravated assault, their case raises urgent questions about how such misconduct slips through the cracks — even when supervisors saw no red flags before.
