## Resource

A third suspect, 30-year-old Alexis Monter, has been arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border after being flagged as armed and dangerous — a critical development in the tragic August 19 shooting that killed Tucson Police recruit Carlos Ramirez and his fiancée. Monter’s name surfaced during a routine check, revealing a history of violence and substance abuse, prompting immediate action by authorities. He joins two other suspects already in custody — Alex James Barnett and Santiago Jorge Rogers — as investigators race to uncover the motive behind the deadly attack, leaving the community grappling with unanswered questions and renewed calls for border security and justice.
