## Resource

Phoenix is rewriting its holiday history—officially renaming the day March 31st as Farmworkers Day, moving away from honoring Cesar Chavez amid new allegations of abuse. The city council unanimously voted to expand recognition to all farmworkers and their families, celebrating their collective struggle. This follows a September temporary name change and now includes renaming streets, parks, and buildings bearing Chavez’s name—a sweeping effort to center the broader movement and honor the many unsung heroes behind the labor rights legacy.
