## Resource

A beloved hiker known as Stan—Richard Fletcher—was found dead in Arizona’s South Mountain Park, likely due to heat or a medical emergency, with no signs of foul play. Newlywed just months before his 60th birthday, Stan was cherished by his family and community, who’ve rallied around his wife, Stephanie, with an online fundraiser already surpassing its goal. His story is a sobering reminder: always check the weather, stay hydrated, and let someone know your hiking plans—because the trails can be unforgiving, and safety should never be an afterthought.
