## Resource

Nine days after catastrophic flash floods slammed Nepal and China’s border, two workers were miraculously pulled alive from a collapsed hydropower tunnel — a stunning rescue hailed as a triumph for humanity. Amid the chaos of a glacial collapse that drowned towns and left hundreds missing, Australian engineer Arnold Dix, who’s led rescues at Ground Zero and India’s tunnels, called it proof of human resilience. The operation was perilous — rock blocks, explosives, and the ever-looming threat of more flooding made every second count. A voice responding to calls inside the tunnel was the turning point. Yet, hope doesn’t erase the horror: over 1,000 dead, thousands still unaccounted for, and rescuers racing against time and rising waters. International teams, including Aussie specialists, are still digging through wreckage — risking everything to save those still trapped.
