## Resource

Smart glasses are being banned at public pools in Sydney, joining Brisbane and Melbourne as cities take drastic steps to protect citizens from covert filming—especially in vulnerable spaces like change rooms and near schools. With community outcry growing, especially from women fearing secret recordings, local councils are acting fast while federal authorities grapple with how to regulate this emerging tech. Advocates like Digital Rights Watch back the bans, pushing for stronger privacy laws, while eSafety urges manufacturers to add safety features like face blurring to balance innovation with personal security.
