## Resource

One Nation’s bold plan to slash temporary migration by 750,000 in three years—aiming for a “net-negative” migration rate—is sparking national debate. Led by Pauline Hanson, the proposal targets students and family visas of skilled migrants, claiming it will ease housing and infrastructure strain. But critics warn it could devastate aged care, construction, and agriculture, risking recession. The party also plans a three-month exit window for undocumented migrants, with deportation and lifetime bans for those who stay. While the Pacific Labour Mobility Scheme remains, family visas for skilled migrants are scrapped. Internal divisions within One Nation and looming government migration cuts signal a brewing political storm over Australia’s future immigration path.
