## Resource

A former mayor claims he was secretly recorded and threatened after refusing to step down from his council role, sparking a major corruption probe. Allegations center on two Labor councillors allegedly blackmailing him and conducting illegal surveillance — including covertly following him and recording conversations — in an attempt to force his resignation. The former mayor says he felt unsafe, even checking locks at night, and fears his children were targeted. Testimony is expected soon as the Independent Commission Against Corruption investigates what’s now called Operation Rosny.
