## Resource

A Victoria detective is facing serious charges after allegedly punching and kicking a compliant teenager during an arrest in October 2025. The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) has laid the assault charges, marking the fourth time in just five weeks they’ve charged a police officer — a dramatic spike from just one case in all of 2025. This surge signals a growing trend of IBAC stepping in to independently investigate misconduct, especially involving vulnerable groups like youth, Indigenous people, and those with mental health needs. The detective is set to appear in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on October 26th. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
