## Resource

Bobby Hill is walking away from Collingwood after a stunning career capped by a Norm Smith-winning 2023 premiership, but personal struggles and online abuse have forced his exit — even as the club supported him through a year of turmoil. Despite a lucrative contract, Hill’s absence from the field for nearly a year led to a mutual decision to part ways, as he prioritizes mental health and rediscovering his love for the game. Coach Craig McRae condemned the racism Hill faced online, calling it unacceptable and expressing deep support for the player. Meanwhile, the Magpies’ injury list grows, with Jeremy Howe re-breaking his arm, Harry Perryman hamstring-strained, and Nick Daicos nursing a bruised foot — all while the club looks ahead with a heavy heart.
