## Resource

An 85-year-old media icon, Alan Jones, is set to stand trial on 22 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching against six men — allegations spanning nearly two decades and involving intimate acts from 2003 to 2020. Jones, once a powerhouse shock jock whose show reportedly swayed elections, now faces a four-month courtroom battle with 76 witnesses, as prosecutors claim he targeted younger men with a predatory sexual interest. Despite his storied career — including being dropped by major outlets after controversial Covid-19 remarks — Jones insists he’s innocent and is determined to face the charges in person. The trial promises to be one of Australia’s most high-profile legal dramas, drawing national attention to the collision of legacy, power, and accountability.
