## Resource

A woman named Stacey Sharples, 31, faces a seven-year prison term after falsely accusing ten men of rape over six years—leading to arrests, lost jobs, and family separations. Originally sentenced to four-and-a-half years, the punishment was increased by the Attorney General, citing the massive toll on police resources and public trust. Sharples met victims online, lured them into compromising situations, and bragged about her schemes. While her defense cited mental health and learning disabilities, the court called her a “sexual predator” who weaponized false accusations to manipulate men’s lives—and the justice system itself.
