## Resource

This religious reflection centers on the Parable of the Ten Virgins to highlight the vital importance of spiritual preparedness and prudence. By contrasting the wise bridesmaids who brought extra oil with the foolish ones who did not, I emphasize that wisdom involves foreseeing future needs and avoiding the pitfalls of laziness or emotional decision-making. The narrative serves as a metaphor for the unpredictability of death, urging listeners to cultivate virtue and avoid postponing their spiritual duties. Modern cultural issues and personal anecdotes are woven into the commentary to highlight how objective truth and sound judgment should triumph over passing feelings. Ultimately, the homily acts as a pastoral exhortation to remain vigilant, as the opportunity to enter the “wedding feast” of heaven depends on one’s readiness when the time finally arrives.
