## Resource

Houston Rockets fans wrestle with Jabari Smith Jr.’s future: Can the former #3 pick break out of his “role player” status, or should the team focus on maximizing his strengths? Host Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) is joined by Rockets fan and YouTuber Bryson (@RedNationBlogga) to dissect Smith’s 2025-26 season, highlighting his statistical growth, the challenge of inconsistent shooting, and his evolving role alongside stars like Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun. Key topics include Smith’s catch-and-shoot efficiency, the impact of team injuries and roster changes, and how he stacks up against elite NBA 3-and-D specialists like OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges. The hosts examine expectations for Smith’s shooting percentages, defensive switchability, and discuss what it will take for him to become one of the league’s elite role players—or even justify greater offensive usage. Can Jabari Smith Jr. elevate his game to help the Rockets contend in a crowded Western Conference?
