## Resource

The White House has pulled the plug on Lance Schroyer’s surprise nomination to lead ICE, just months after he was tapped by Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin — a move that raised eyebrows from the start. Though Mullin called Schroyer a “good friend” and touted their history, Senate resistance, questions over Schroyer’s immigration enforcement experience, and lack of a confirmation hearing date stalled the process. With no clear reason for the withdrawal — even Senator Paul denies opposition — it’s another twist in ICE’s long-running leadership vacuum, now left hanging once again.
