## Resource

A 31-year-old woman, Noelia Martinez Avila, has pleaded guilty to two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle following a deadly midnight crash on I-90 near DeForest in July 2025. Her SUV was traveling the wrong way when it collided head-on with another vehicle, trapping victims and sparking a fire. The tragic deaths claimed Hallie Helgeson, 18, and Brady Heiling, 19. Seven additional charges were dropped as part of the plea deal, with sentencing scheduled for December 14th — a moment of legal closure amid enduring grief for the families.
