## Resource

City pools are tightening safety rules this summer—kids under eight need adult supervision within arm’s reach, ages 8–9 require a 13+ chaperone in the water, and teens 10–12 must sign in with emergency contacts. No food, gum, tobacco, or glass allowed; flotation devices are restricted except in shallow areas with close watch. Diving wells reserved for those passing the deep water test. Health-wise: no swimming if sick or with open wounds—and showers mandatory before entering. Diaper changes banned on pool decks. Thrill-seekers? Must be 43” tall for slides, and goggles are off-limits on slides and in diving zones. All city pools affected—check before you dive.
